Carrots help you see in the dark... A carrot torch (Flashlight) might!

During World War II Britain's air ministry propaganda spread the word that a diet of carrots helped pilots see German bombers attacking at night. The propaganda was intended to cover the real reason for the Royal Air Force's successful development of Radar to detect approaching aircraft.
